Open Letter to Katie Couric
Katie,

You have been given an opportunity to regain your reputation as a journalist and to reclaim your career. No other leading news person is going to speak out about Scott's McClellan's claim because network news owns them. You on the other hand have nothing to lose and everything to gain from speaking out loud about what happened during the lead up to the War. How you were labeled unpatriotic and "Dixiechicked if you spoke out against this asinine war. Tell the public exactly what pressures you were facing and how you were restricted in your line of questioning. True journalism is like art, it should be uncomfortable to hear. It should make us think and it should play devils advocate.

Now is your chance to shine and rise above all the other self serving journalist who are still afraid to lose access or lose their jobs as your colleague Barry Nolan just found out for criticizing Bill O'Reilly. Free speech isn't free when the people who employ you hold your job over your head every time you speak. Katie, you have nothing to lose, you are wealthy and suffering a setback. Distinguish yourself by doing the simplest thing > speak the truth.
