The "Surprised" spin on McClellan
The surprise: I thought we knew him well and considered him a friend. Why is he had such views did he not air them back then? This is not the Scott that we knew.

Ok - you throw your point man under the bus and they you are surprised that he comes back with his version of happenings? Surprised? And you are surprised that "a freind" would speak up after he was betrayed and lied to so that you could deceive the American public?

"He never spoke up about his strong views on what went on...."

Did the White House have a culture of open debate on the issues? Is or was decent from majority views something that was generally accepted?

Did McClellan get enough information to have a strong case for his views on the matters or was he by and large used as a pawn, feed half truths and outright lies and told what he would have to think and relay to the press?

1. Point man goes down right after the radio guy
Both have very low survival rates because first you want to cut off communication to reinforcements, then take out the 'eyes-and-ears' of the group. Imagine how low your survival rate is if you somehow just happen to be both!

5. I tend to think that to the people who are careless about politics
and voting GOP out of tradition or a misguided sense of loyalty McClellan might be a very credible source of doubt about the war, the GOP and McCain.
McClellan could prove to be a much bigger problem for BuchCo than Libby Scooter ever was.

4. We had that information on November 20, 2007!
McClellan provided a few paragraphs to the press about his upcoming memoirs. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1107/6994.html
