4. I did
I was just listening to Randi and she was talking about how she was waiting for it. I'm on the list at the library but am so way down the list. So I broke down and ordered it.

9. I am 13th on my library's list (but there are several copies available).
So I may get it pretty soon. The library was kinda surprised that there weren't more people interested...

21. On an interlibrary system? If so, there were probably several copies.
Wow, that was fast. Can't believe that we in CT weren't right on it. Where are you?

24. Jefferson County, Colorado just west of Denver - they ordered 25 copies
90 holds as of right now.

They get all the pol books. I'm always surprised since when I moved here in '76 this area was pretty conservative. Things have changed. :D

27. My library is a little town libe next to New Haven, a really liberal city.
That's why I was so surprised that they didn't have a flood of requests.

Are you near Boulder? I realy liked it when I was there a few years ago...

I think Scotty deserves a couple of my hard-earned bucks for putting B*sh's presidency in the history books for eternity as a shit-stain.

Scotty gets kudos from me.

8. Just called my local Borders
They've released it early, so I'm going to stop on my way home. I usually prefer shopping at Barnes & Noble, but since I have gift cards, I'll use them.

10. Every time I see that title, it always reminds me of this book ---
Elvis, What Happened? (Binding Unknown, 1977)
Author: Dave Hebler, Red West, Sonny West, Steve Dunleavy

-----------
Published shortly before his death in 1977.
Written by members of his inner circle.

13. "Finally, an insider to the Bush administration grows a conscience. "
Edited on Thu May-29-08 04:08 PM by DianaForRussFeingold
If only, more insiders would grow a conscience...

The comments and reviews alone are worth the visit to Amazon.com!

Examples of reviews and comments-
--"While Scott will receive a lot of grief over his revelations, he has provided a much needed inside backdrop to what happened on the inside to the political run-up to war.

What happened? A press and American people asleep at the wheel, unable or unwilling, to deeply question the reality of the nightmare of what they'll be living with for decades to come."

--" haven't read the whole thing yet but as I skim it, it's obvious that what we all suspected was true - bush is a lying scumbag who is responsible for 4,000+ dead americans and countless Iraqis....sad."

--"This bold and daring book will confirm that Bush is one of the worst presidents in U.S. history. If anything it will show the deception and manipulation that the Republican party has tried to perpetuate onto the American people. The Bush Administration makes Watergate look like a tea party. Scott McClellan will be regarded as our modern day's Woodward and Bernstein."

22. Hell no. I never buy books of that kind.
Any bombshell news is going to come out in the media, via several sources and interviews, etc. Why put money in someone's pocket for news that I'm going to get for free anyway?

That's not to say I don't read non-fiction. I do. But about 98% of my book money is reserved for fiction. I'll only buy a non-fiction book if it's something I really want to read and won't hear about elsewhere. Plus, fiction is better anyway. :)
