Don't forget Obama's second minister. Nightline's right on it.

A quickee review of the *NEW* 'Sex in The City' movie. Ditto.

To think, some folks watch Nightline to be become better informed.

Haha!

Pass the Kleenex, Ted.

1. I used to watch Nightline without fail.
Now it's not worth the electrons. It's just more lame, shallow infotainment TV. Too bad; it was a great show for a long time.

3. I remember when that show began as "Crisis in Iran."
I was in the TV listing business at the time, and this was considered a temporary preemption of regular programming. What amazing history this show made, and how low it has sunk... Yikes!x(

10. Must be an ABC virus
The teevee listings say "20-20" has Sarah Jessica Parker and Salma Hayek.

Guess there's nothing for the investigative journalists to investigate.

11. Then this news will make you sad
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/abc/nightline_closes_gap_with_letterman_85973.asp

Poised to celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, ABC's Nightline continues to draw viewers with its two-year-old, three-anchor format.

Last week, Nightline beat CBS's The Late Show with David Letterman in Total Viewers (3.62M v. 3.43M) and in the A25-54 demo (1.76M v. 1.60M).

... This is Nightline's tenth victory over Letterman in the A25-54 demo this season and the eighth victory in Total Viewers.

13. The Nighline Show/Kopel was set up to repeat the hostage
crisis every night in the right-wing full-time attacks on Carter--

And the public were certainly roused by that repetition every day and every night --
and were calling for bombing Iran. It was irrational, IMO.

Finally -- if we can believe it --- all of Carter's rescue missions went awry --!!!
Seems the helicopters kept crashing because they weren't supplied with the equipment which
keeps sand out of their engines in the desert. This was a desert mission.

The NL/Koppel show did, however, do a fair job of tracking "October Surprise" ---
coming close to saying Bush Sr. was there --- but it couldn't be absolutely confirmed, of course.

14. Nightline's new line-up to feature Howard Beale, the Mad Prophet of the Airwaves
with the rest of the news show featuring segments with "Sybil the Soothsayer", "Jim Webbing and his It's-the-Honest-Truth-department", "Miss Mata Hari and her skeletons in the closet" as well as "Vox Populi".

Other new and thrilling programming at ABC will feature:

* The Mao Tse Tung Hour: A one-hour drama focusing on the activities of the Ecumenical Liberation Army, the show opening with authentic footage of the Ecumenicals committing a terrorist act.

* The New Lawyers: Set in a large eastern law school, the running characters are a crusty but benign ex-Supreme Court Justice, a beautiful girl graduate student and a hard-nosed, hard drinking local district attorney who is brilliant and sometimes cuts corners.

* The Amazon Squad: All about a crusty but benign Police Lieutenant, a beautiful young girl cop who is fighting the feminst battle on the force, and a hard-nosed, hard drinking detective who is brilliant but who sometimes cuts corners.
