At long last...what will be the tipping point?

All the 'rumors' of the lying all these years coming from the WH right up to the top are proving to be...-gasp- TRUE! Shocking to all of us here at DU I know, but what is going to come out such that the idiots like Wolf, Tweety, Timmeh, "Charlie" Gibson, and the rest of the broadcast moran crew who have facilitated this group of destructors.

Permit me to digress and say that CBS has completely vanished from the scene - sincerely hard to believe since I was always mesmerized by their coverage of everything from the 50's thru the early 90's. Tragic and a loss for the American People - who cold forget their coverage of the Watergate Scandal with those amazing live reports from those literate and responsible journalists who reported facts, not Nixonian talking points as facts.

Anyway, what is going to be the 'factoid', the cataclysmic revelation, the remarkable truth which will come out, such that there are no More excuses and it is going to become so apparent that they will no longer be able to hide the fact that...well, no point being redundant - we all know what the facts are. There are certainly more facts of which we may someday be apprised, but what we know to be true is quite enough.


Perhaps we shall see soon. I fervently wish this to be so.

6. Who's Tipping Point???

Seems we have several in action out there.

For a vast majority of Americans, that tipping point was reached a long time ago. For a good share of us DU'ers, I think it's safe to say, that tipping point came at 12:01 on 1-20-01...when the asshat was sworn in. For others it was the Iraq invasion, Katrina, abusing the veterans...the list keeps getting longer. The fact the manchild has been mired at 30% in approvals says the scale was tipped long ago by the American people.

Now, the corporate media is another story and must be understood that they serve themselves and those in power...there is no tipping point except if they see their power getting away. For the last 7 plus years, this regime has played the media like a fiddle...pushing through more "de-reg" for the owners and building up resumes for the worker ants. The betlway media culture is one big drinkie-drinkie party of impress and be impressed...status is determined by your face time or a front-page byline. It's having that "special access" that will give you the "scoop"...and it doesn't matter if there's truth or not. In fact, debating "the truth" has become a cottage media industry...the "fair and balanced" thing.

What's upset the beltway applecart has been the blogosphere...and the harsh criticism that has come from it. It's rubbed egos and stiffened the spine of the beltway crowd. If they admit the bloggers were right or did a better job than they did, it's admitting they have been propagandists (which they were) or at best stenographers.

The corporate media's credibility has been shot to hell...on the right and left. And you'll still hear some who say that since they've pissed off both sides they must be doing their jobs.
