Why is Bush taking a failure lap?
Why do we have to pay for his last opportunity to embarrass us on the world stage? When the whole world is looking forward to his exit and the bright young man who will likely replace him, this asshat does not have the common sense and decency to admit that they do not welcome his last guffaw. It’s like a Bush’s Greatest Disasters Tour with appearances by Silvio Berlusconi, Angela Merkel and the ever popular Benedict XVI. Why can’t he just phone it in like he has with the whole president thing.

1. When did he ever do the right thing? Why should this fiasco be any different?
They'll be sure to spend 100 million on security too.

2. Because this is the part of his job he actually likes.
He can stride the world on the taxpayers' nickel, pretending he's a great statesman, imagining all the other world leaders take him seriously. Of course, the other leaders play along because they have either:

(a) Hitched their wagon to his star and have to keep playing the game, or
(b) Don't want to piss the little tyrant off in case he decides to nuke their country out of spite.

So Georgie gets to do his "man of density" (er, sorry, I mean "destiny") schtick, while everyone just looks on with either pity or (more likely) contempt in their eyes.

3. Look, Bushie always makes such a fool of himself when he
goes away from home. Just sit back and pretend you are French and laugh at this idiotic guy. Once a Democrat gets in the White House, the world will begin to respect us again. And it won't be long.

4. Who Said He Failed?
Maybe your stock portfolio is down...or you don't have one...but those who have money have saw lots of ways to cash in over the past 8 years. Be it with Haliburton stock or loading up on banks that offered huge returns to investors in money they used to inflate their ponzi scheme or if you have oil stocks...the money you're taking out of one pocket to pay for the $4 gas you're getting back in a nice divdend. If you are a defense contractor, times couldn't be better...open ended contracts with the federal treasury opened wide for speculating and covering asses. Again, this only applies if you're in that upper 1% that has the money to play around...this regime has been "good business".

Boooosh doesn't give a shit what people think about him...never has cause he doesn't have to. He has lived in bubbleworld and those who even question him are some kind of "traitor". In many ways I believe he's "punishing" this country cause we don't roll over and submit to this regime's world domination games. History will judge this regime the worst and most destructive in American history, but there are still plenty in this country who still support this asshat and his corrupt party.
