Contact the Cleveland Plain Dealer to explain to their 'analist' who just spoke on cspan
She implied that DK's "charges in the Articles of Impeachment were all over the map" and while she said it she had the smirky tone in her voice.

Let THEM know that the charges represent ALL the crimes that this President has committed. Just because he committed MORE THAN ONE and that HE COMMITTED MANY does not make the Articles of Impeachment any less serious or valid.

If you heard her name, then post it and we'll have to take action tomorrow! (At least post her first name so we can find out who to write and call. OR just call the paper and ask for their political department and leave messages with her boss.

Frankly, she clearly doesn't understand the laws of this land or she wouldn't have snickered like she did.

9. Eaton
PD has been trying to get a Republican elected in his district for the last 3 elections. They aren't giving up.

15. I think you heard her correctly and the video is currently on the
front page of cspan, they also just added a link to the front page to view Kucinich reading the Articles against Bush.

10. I'm concerned about how they'll cover the presidential election
They'll go after Dennis again with guns blazing, but how will they handle Obama? They endorsed him in the primary, but who knows how they'll cover him in the GE.

11. Larkin and O'Brien running the editorial page? It doesn't take a genius to see how that'll go.
OTOH, though, Egger and Goldberg are about as far from Machaskee and Clifton as that paper's seen in ages, and they can overrule those two idealogues (which would be deeply satisfying - that little shitweasel O'Brien seems to think he's going to be running the whole show someday, I'd love to see him taken down a few pegs).

All that said, they're not as influential as they like to pretend. Cuyahoga went something like 70% for Kerry despite the PD's Bush-boosterism.

12. Their influence has declined
especially now that more people get their news online. Its harder for them to spoon feed news to the public. I think the last election they really had an influence on was Gore's in 2000. IMHO they were the ones responsible for getting him to pull his campaign out of Ohio and switch to Flordia instead.

16. Gore left Ohio because there was no Dem party INFRASTRUCTURE functioning for a presidential campaign
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 12:14 PM by blm
that he could tap into in 2000 - the money was being watsted - though Florida's infrastructure was also in bad shape. State party infrastructures were allowed to collapse even further the next four years and many of us have serious questions regarding the motivation for the Clinton-McAuliffe DNC strategy of those years.
