Below is a link to a very important letter. I hope you will take a minute to read it and sign if you agree, giving thought to the future of America's kids, particularly the most disadvantaged children.

The June 8 issue of TIME magazine carried a story verifying what so many of us have known all along. NCLB was seen as a Trojan horse to discredit and "blow up" public education. NCLB was designed to make public schools look as bad as possible. Long ago the education establishment should have been screaming bloody murder. Even the admission of the law's true intent hasn't even caused a ripple.

5. I think Obama

means well and some of his proposed education changes sound ok. However, there are many signs he is not fully aware of the depth and the breadth of the attempts to destroy public education. It is apparent Bill Gates of ED in '08 has his ear at the moment.

3. what republicans love, they deregulate and throw money at. What they hate, the regulate to death...

and starve of funds.

It's not hard to figure out which side of the equation education falls on.
