1. But MSNBC is covering Tim R's wake
haven't seen it on there, yet. Talking about 300 people in line to get in to view the body. :eyes:

3. How dare insurgents set off a car bomb at the same time as Russert's wake!
Of all the nerve! Sheesh...what is this world coming to?

5. That can't be true
I just read an article about how violence is decreasing. The surge is working! Ugh. I can't stand the fact that we are using Iraq for political tug-of-war when people are dying left and right.

7. MSNBC Is Wake City...
I'm sure they've got the beatification scheduled as well. Sheesh.

We're also watching the Misssissippi start to really rise...a lot of flooded farmland on the way.

And you get the typical report of the CNN bobblehead standing in the water to prove to us it's flooded...and how brave they are. All we need is Rick Sanchez and it'll be an "official" disaster.

Iraq? Iraq? I think I've heard of that. Isn't that the place where we're "winning" and no one questions?

:hi:

12. All Tim All The Time...
The self absorbtion of the beltway and corporate media about this tragedy has turned into a farce. The dude hosted a TV show...nothing more, nothing less. He wasn't a head of state or major political figure...he was a bobble-head. I can understand the mourning going on behind the scenes...and so be it...but this near diefication of the guy is a testament to what's wrong with the media, not what's good with it.

I see a picture of the St. Louis Arch with the waters starting to rise there. A couple years ago we visited...parked the car right along with river and then hiked up the steps to the high water mark of the '93 flood...it had to be a good 25-30 feet. Right now that parking space is suitable for a boat.
