'NYT' Sunday Preview: Those Charlie Crist (Gay) Rumors
http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003819201

With Florida Governor Charlie Crist now being seriously floated as a VP candidate for John McCain, all those old rumors that the longtime bachelor may be gay have gained new currency -- along with reports about Crist dating several women. For this Sunday's New York Times Magazine, Deborah Solomon coyly sort of raises that issue at the very end.

Solomon kicks it off by stating, "Your personal life is not that of a typical Republican candidate. For starters, I hear you're" -- wait for it -- "not a property owner." Crist replies, "It is true. I do not own property."

Solomon then moves on to, "You were married nearly 30 years ago, but the marriage lasted less than a year. Do you prefer"-- wait for it -- "living alone?"

Crist: "I got married and divorced because it didn't work out. I haven't found the right one since." Of course, the use of the word "one" may be parsed for days.

a failure for the average Floridian. He has flip flopped on issues, worked for the corporate bosses, is self-loathing to the degree that he kowtows to Talibornagains, he's continued to work against the unemployed and underemployed, he has championed voodoo economic policies, he has made Florida last in Education...

How exactly is Crist good for Florida?

He's an abomination of a governor, plain and simple.

6. Charlie the "might be gay" Governor
My Governor, who lives in the high rise condo over the bay a couple of blocks from me. They have a security tape of him kissin on his girl friend in the elevator ready to realease when needed. Her divorce is final now and she is available to marry a vp candidate. They used the illegitimate child leak a day before the Governors election to a reputable conservative who would not publish without verification, but there was no time.

At least for Florida, he has one of the most effective campaign organizatins I have ever seen. Uses the "break the rules today" and say oops tomorrow technique. Like putting the 40 feet high banners on the buildings in downtown Tampa and taking two or three days to get them down. Lining freeway exits with yard signs today and taking them away tomorrow. etc.
