Most Spineless Congress in American History
We have the most lawless bunch of fascists in the white house that this country has seen, and you'd think the GOP was in power with a solid majority!

They disgust me, for they are detestable...

"President B*sh praised Congress Friday for moving forward on a bill permitting government eavesdropping in the war on terrorism, saying "it will help our intelligence professionals learn enemies' plans for new attacks."

As the House prepared to vote later Friday on that measure, B*sh also said he was pleased that Congress was moving forward on "a responsible war funding bill" for Iraq that supports the troops in the field without requiring "artificial timetables" for their withdrawal."

---------

When that man praises you, then you know you're doing the work of the devil... For I'm sure Cheney is very pleased...

Hey Damn Dem Leaders - have a spine? Damn, I hope we all let them have it, for I feel I just died a little bit inside today, I feel like crying with Lady Liberty...

7. Pelosi continues to be extremely disappointing
voting in favor of this FISA bill. At least the two Sanchez sisters, Linda and Loretta have earned my trust and admiration in voting against it. I will never offer the slightest word of praise for anything Pelosi does. She will have to crawl on all fours and prove her Democratic credentials to ever get the slightest respect from me again. I really think we need new leadership.

it's like pro rasslin or the Harlem Globetrotters. It's not real.

It's a show to keep us occupied while the oligarchs steal everything.

9. and the sad thing is
they don't 'let' change happen, because it effects the flow of trillions over the years, from going into their pockets. That's what the oil in Iraq will do for them, and to think there going to just 'let' us stop the Iraq occupation, which secures the oil fields for Big Oil, is a bit of a fantasy - I hope it's a fantasy that we force however...

but yeah, I'm realizing there's little that can be done... Obama, if he gets in, must immediately secure his White House in lockdown, get a protection force set up beyond the SS, and end the Iraq invasion in full!

10. PROUD to be #5 - A disgraceful Act - the fools no one
Edited on Fri Jun-20-08 12:47 PM by autorank
"Why vote, they're all a bunch of crooks." Mantra of non voters.

Anyone here want to argue? Give the saying the benefit of the doubt for exaggeration. Maybe
80% would be a better number. But we MUST VOTE, in massive numbers.

These "representatives" claiming to be public servants have to answer for their neglectful and enabling behavior.

It's not something that should surprise us. After all, the Eisenhower quote about "the military
industrial complex" was just a cya. It was Eisenhower who allowed his cabinet pals to set up
regime change in Central America to protect ..... the United Fruit Company and helped the British
destroy the first democracy in Iraq -

Sham, shame, shambles ...

... great people betrayed continuously over decades.

"The 1953 Iranian coup d'état saw the overthrow of the democratically-elected administration of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddeq and his cabinet from power by British and American intelligence operatives working together with Iranian agents and elements of the Iranian army. Bribing Iranian officials, news media and others with British and American funds, Kermit Roosevelt, Jr. of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),<1> organized the covert operation aiding retired Iranian General Fazlollah Zahedi and Imperial Guard Colonel Nematollah Nassiri. The project to overthrow Iran's government was codenamed Operation Ajax.<2>"

17. sham, shame, shambles!
they care nothing about the people's protections, and care only for protecting the trillions of dollars in oil that they say is being done to "protect America's interests and future", when all it does is stifle innovation in creating alternative fuels and pad the "old money" bank accounts of a few thousand white men who are so filthy rich it's unbelievable...

vote the bums out... I will with every chance I get, and I'm accepting of the fact that just because there's a "D" next to a name it means NOTHING...

11. They're not spineless
They're criminals. They know exactly what they are doing and they are setting themselves up to profit.

Congress is the biggest racket there is. Full of sociopaths and criminals - I have given them the benefit of doubt for long enough.

Their priorities and agendas are clear.

1.)Enrich themselves, their families and their friends
2.)Set up their lobbying careers
3.)Enjoy their salaries and living off the public trough, including free health care for life that most of us can only dream of.

Enough is enough.

13. It's all one party ...

The Money Party is a small group of enterprises and individuals who have most of the money in this country. They use that money to make more money. Controlling who gets elected to public office is the key to more money for them and less for us. As 2008 approaches, The Money Party is working hard to maintain its perfect record. http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0709/S00549.htm

Pelosi, Reid & other complicit dems have decided it's better to be second in line at the trough than not in line at all.

12. K & R for the tragic truth.
We are continually betrayed. The average Amerikan Subject has no more powe than the average Chinese Subject.

Their nation is ruled by essentially the same form of governemnt as our nation. There's no denying it, and hasn't been for quite some time since our "victory" in November.

Not that most won't continue to try to deny, right up until some ghastly personal impact forces them to acknowledge unpleasant reality.

Too late then, though. TOO FUCKING LATE!

19. You speak the truth
They got away with looking spineless for quite a while, but now it's obvious. They're not 'giving in.' They're involved. Too many of the top dogs are complicit in war crimes. Most of the rest have no problem going along because they've been bought outright.

It's disgusting.

16. NOT Spinless......COMPLICIT
It's time to call this what it is, and admit it to ourselves.

This isn't about Democrat or Republican.

Right Or Left.

This is about RIGHT AND WRONG.

Upholding the Rule Of Law versus turning your back to CRIMINAL Activity and being a willing accessory.

Our leadership on BOTH sides has failed us. We no longer have a government that represents it's people, and each brazen act can only accentuate that reality at this point.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
