Steny Hoyer is My Congressman. I Just Finished Writing Him This Letter:
Mr. Hoyer:

Your role in passing telecom immunity has officially lost my vote forever.

As a long-time local telephone employee, I was part of a corporate system that prided itself on customer privacy, responding only to court orders or other officially sanctioned requests. I am not only outraged that my employer would break from that tradition, but that you would go out of your way to condone it.

There is nothing in this vote for your party, your constituents, our security, or the constitution. Its only benefits are in concealment, enabling the political opposition, and encouraging future violations.

It was abundantly clear that this was against your constitutents wishes. And yet you waited until you thought the dust had settled and tried to back your way into this legislation. I feel betrayed. You no longer represent me.

Not to multiply threads, but this is just too much. Telecom immunity should not be a fringe issue. The leadership is now actively trying to evade and subvert its constituency. I can forgive a lot of things, but for some reason this is the final straw. We need new leadership in January.

3. Telecom immunity also lets bush & Cheney walk from their crimes
The first spying was done by ATT in Feb. 2001 long before 9/11 ....
this was part of an on going criminal enterprise that started when
the U.S. Supreme Court stopped the counting of the votes in Florida.

Come Jan 2009 Nancy, Steny, Harry Reid, and Jay Rockefeller should be
removed from any leadership positions .... their job is to protect the
laws of the country and protect the Constitution .... they have failed w/
out a doubt.

5. I guess this answers the question as to if bushco will be brought up on
charges when they are out of office. The answer is a resounding NO.

12. No to this one
There are many, many others, some of which the international court can and very well should, address.

4. I'm from VA, called his office, said he's a traitor & I'll work coming across the bridge to defeat
him with my dollars and hard work. The staffer on the phone was speechless. I ended it with I know he'll rot in hell for this vote.

please post on here what you want to do, I gave to the Blue America PAC that's doing the negative Hoyer ads regarding FISA, I am definitely on board with any plans to deal with the Bush enablers Nancy Pelosi (D-8th/CA) Speaker of the House and Steny H. Hoyer, (D-5th/MD), Majority leader of the House. Elijah Cummings, my representative that represents Baltimore City voted NO on this travesty. He usually votes with his conscience I am proud to say.

6. I've always detested him. As I recall he took a very nasty position on an
animal protection measure several years ago.

Although, I am from Maryland, I am not from his district, but I can still donate to a challenger even if it's a write

10. Of COURSE they are bored. Dealing with us Little Nobodies is boring.
Not like those big Corporate shindigs with their elegant gowns, handsome suits, delicious hors d'ouveres, and gift bags.

Now THAT'S fun and interesting.

:sarcasm: :puke:

14. These "Representatives" are living in a pre internet mindset,
when they could rely on the media to cover up their traitorous behavior. No longer and it baffles them a bit, I'd say.
