My pictures from Selma!
I had an amazing time in Selma on Sunday. I got a chance to go to the Unity Breakfast with Barack Obama and then went to a hands-on campaign workshop that he attended. I was one of about 60 people there so that was pretty cool. Also, participating in the bridge crossing march is something that I would highly recommend all of us experiencing. Seeing men and women in wheelchairs on the bridge - the same bridge that they crossed 40 years ago and were beaten because of it - is very powerful. All in all, it was a great day and I just wanted to share some pics from the event!

I could have reached out and touched Hillary. I was that close.

My friend and I on the Edmund Pettus Bridge during the march. I'm on the right.

I'm sorry! The only ones I have of Obama are cell phone pics and this one of him speaking. . .

8. very nice pics!
The one of you two turned out well. And I also I love the one of the crowd -- with the Clintons just visible in with all the other marchers.

Sometimes we KNOW that the world has changed for the better. Thank goodness for that!

11. That was very obvious
Although it may not be evident from the select pictures I've shared, there many whites from all economic levels in attendence, as well. Alabama has changed for the better.

And, I kid you not. . . Don't be shocked to see us "shed our red" in 2008. Things are really looking up down here.

16. Hey Bama, do you know Joe Turnham?
Remember the strange things that happened when he lost the congressional election (3d district) to a repuke lapdog named Mike Rogers?

17. I don't know him personally
However, I did meet him in Selma. He seems like a very down-to-earth and likeable guy.

I do remember their tricks. Although, it's hard to remember specifics considering that they screw with something or somebody in nearly every election. Was his home burned, by chance?

18. I can't remember the specifics myself.
Just some strange voting results from areas Joe should have won. Joe is a nice guy and comes from a great family.

19. True
I remember that. Of course, the Republican dominated Montgomery media quickly swept it under the rug.

Was it in 2004 when Rogers' opponent's house mysteriously burned down? Yet again, that story got little (if any) attention.

21. As for my friend in the picture,
she certainly is a very beautiful girl, a great person, and a fantastic Democrat. However, I'm not dating her. Maybe I'm not as smart as you originally thought I was, huh? ;-)
