hey, i'm going to my state convention as a delegate from my ward.
which means i am going to the state fair, also. hubby, too.
there must be a million delegates, cuz our ward, 1 of 50 in chicago, has 22 delegates. but should be pretty cool.
the state fair should be something else, also. i have only been once in my life. and i didn't find the butter cow. democrats day. :woohoo:

2. i just wanna see the butter cow.
but dreading the food at the fair. i think they have a rule that all food served on the grounds must be deep fried.

seriously, tho, my alderman is a great guy, and they are very welcoming, even of people that have disagreed with them. i think one of the delegates is a guy who ran against him in the last election.

3. And I am seriously glad you get to go...
participation in political stuff is always gratifying at some deep, citizenly level.

Avoid the deep-fried Snickers bars...

6. if i see blaggo i will run.
i was raised on the edge of the burbs, and am well aware of the oh, so special dairy air.
much as i know blaggo is a nut case, it still galls me that there is so much patience for rethuglican nut cases and so little for dems. i think it is nearly impossible to be a dem and be respected and liked in office. there are a couple, but very few, in spite of how many do a great job.
