6. I hate when they use the word "ONLY"
Makes it sound like a bargain. Our newspaper does the same thing. I guess when you've got money to burn 3.98 IS a bargain. For the rest of us...:nuke:

9. We are going back down from $3.97 -- never did hit $4.00...
However, while the rest of the country was flirting with $4.00, we never did move above $3.84.

I guess we should be happy to see someone making money off this fiasco...what did they say one of the companies made last quarter...$65B?

Criminal.

11. Gosh, now I'll have to vote Repuke this November.
Bush heard the cry of people, felt our pain, identified the problem, rolled up his sleeves and fixed it!

Happy Days are here again!

I'm gonna go look at new Hummers. Ya think they'll let me get one on credit?

19. Vaudeville?
I'm not that old but I said the same thing when they jacked it to $3 and then dropped it to the low $2 - I told everyone why are we so grateful when it should be $1 - they looked at me like I grew a third arm.

21. Reminds me of Orwell's 1984 with the chocolate ration
Big Brother reduced the ration from 30 grams to 20 grams, then raised the ration to 25 grams and everyone celebrated and thanked Big Brother for the "increase".
