Fighting spam, and winning a bit
I don't get that many spam (keep my fingers crossed) but when I do, I forward it to my provider (either comcast or yahoo) and if there is a known address, like hotmail or something, to the abuse dept. there, too, making sure that I expand the header. (Yahoo, though, have recently changed the software so that if I just forward, the expanded header does not go; I have to copy and paste..)

More often than not, the reply is that.. sorry, there is nothing we can do.

But yesterday I received a relatively mild spam - promoting cheap drugs from Canada. The address was a UK yahoo and I followed my usual routine.

I got a reply:

In this particular case, we have taken appropriate action against the
Yahoo! account in question, as per our Terms of Service (TOS).

YES!
