The Pentagon just released the names of 22 military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past two weeks.

Wonder how many innocent Iraqi men, women, and children were part of the collateral damage?

All about how "the Iraq resistance is in tatters" (that was one actual headline) and the "new Iraq" now that the surge has succeeded. :eyes:

At least the editor had the sense to bury the stories in the middle of the A section instead of putting them on the front page or page 3, but it makes me sick that those stories exist at all. They're selling, but I'm not buying.

There's still no reliable electricity, the hospitals don't have the resources needed to treat the sick and injured, prisoners are still subject to torture, and the Powers That Be are building a big-ass palace in the middle of Baghdad (the new US Embassy complex).
