Friday's hearing made me sick.
There is no question that the Bush administration has sought to undermine the Constitution to the point of impeachable actions. Yet, there were those in the Congress on the right who sought to defend those actions.

Will the Democrats have the fortitude to defend the Constitution?

2. Damn!!!
That outraged me also!

We, the people, no longer have a voice.

And the Constitution no longer has any meaning.

Companies own our country, we just live in it and hope the fucking idiots in charge (and their parasitic news outlets) don't get us all killed!

CNN, you suck worse than FOXnews IMO. The M$M HAS NO SHAME.

13. CNN = CIA
Has for years, at least since 911, probably before. Remember shock and awe in glorious CNN color under the first Bush? Then there was their breathless blow by blow of the FBI Waco massacre which was the first thing I saw on CNN when I briefly had cable in 94 or whenever it was. Canceled the next month and haven't had it since.

29. That CNN clip literally makes me want to puke.
Seriously, I'm feeling a little green around the gills. :puke:

CNN is worse than Fox, because they have an air of credibility that Fox lacks. But in truth, they're just as blatently partisan in favor of the Rethugs as Faux News.

4. Their defenses were weak.
The usual: prove its and there are more important things, this is trivial.

The defenses are just the usual defenses that any desperate defense attorney regurgitates in the face of allegations that are pretty irrefutable.

Whether there is an impeachment depends on Congress' courage to test the allegations before the Judicial Committee.

As the CNN report showed, Congress will have not only to buck the Republican Party but also the entire press establishment. There's the rub. How do you get news out to the general public, such as the news that the American people have been had, big time, other than through the establishment media that is owned and controlled by a group of people who had a lot of money but little intelligence or intellectual curiosity and no analytical ability, human values or education? There's the problem. Get out and ask your neighbors questions. Get to know people. Don't argue about the news the media focuses on. Don't argue about the media talking points. Ask people to explain how we got from the wealthiest nation on earth to a debtor nation that is bailing out banks several times a week with your money and your neighbor's money.

And before you start talking, be sure you have read Naomi Klein's book, Shock Doctrine.

17. The poster is right, though. Obama is against impeachment.
He and the rest of the no impeachment gang will probably learn to regret that. We certainly will.

like allowing Rove to flout a subpoena from Congress. He's certainly not the only one on this slippery slope.

25. I agree, the no accountability factor is our demise.
However, there is rarely a comment made by the aforementioned poster that doesn't berate or disparage Obama. I have no problem with criticisms of Barack, it is incessant attacks upon him by certain posters that I have issues with.

Not Hillary, no one. The leadership has made a decision and they will see it through.
