Posting for seeing my first McCain bumpersticker
Here in the home city of Congressman Ralph Hall, (R - Bushbot). In 2004, the W stickers were everywhere. As of now, I hadn't seen any McCain stickers. However, at the 4th of July parade, I did see one woman wearing a McCain tee shirt. When Congressman Hall's car passed me, I shouted "GObama!" Ralph looked at me, and laughed out and exclaimed "who?"

Anyway, here in my school parking lot where I work, a blue pickup truck has a yellow ribbon "supporting" the troops. He had two bumperstickers on his back windshield. One was "Veterans for McCain." The other was "drill here, drill now, pay less." The stupidity of all of this floored me. Especially the Veterans for McCain. Didn't John vote against more money for the GI Bill and other benefits? Seems I remember reading about this somewhere...

Stupidity reins here in red hell. But with the exception of this truck, I haven't seen any vehicles in my community pushing any of the Republican talking points.

1. Saw my first McCain lawn sign yesterday (here on Cape Cod). Really had to restrain myself from
running up and pulling it out.

I'd be happy to plant an Obama sticker on it. I know, very juvenile of me!

4. saw my first McCain yard sign 2 wks ago in FW, while doorknocking for our Legislative
Rep (D),

The loyal Democrat next door to the McCain sign said yes when I asked if he wanted a yard sign, pointed next door and said "We are all (big arm sweeping around the other surrounding homes) doing everything we can to piss that guy off as much as possible before November!"

Made my day on a very very hot morning

6. I too have seen exactly one McCain bumper sticker so far;
it was on a giant gas-guzzling pickup truck that also had a W'04 sticker. It might as well have also had one reading "I haven't learned one thing from the last few years".

15. THAT would be a FABULOUS bumper sticker to make up, or car magnet maybe
Edited on Thu Aug-07-08 10:11 AM by calimary
that could be thoughtfully applied to any such bumper of any such shameless neanderthal.

9. Last Saturday, I had to share practice ice with a girl wearing a McCain T-shirt!
She must have heard me grumbling, "Four more years of Bush!" under my breath, as she kept skating in my face the whole hour!

10. I've seen three on my way to work this week in Florida...
One on a Scion, driven by an elderly lady, one on a pick-up and one on another type of SUV driven by two middle aged guys. I've seen far more Obama stickers though.

Last week we drove to New Jersey and didn't see any McLame stickers en route, though we saw 5 or 6 Obama stickers.

17. I saw my first one this week.
I live in the super-conservative northwest corner of Montana. I still see plenty of Ron Paul stickers.

I see Obama stickers all the time.
