Will any of the Olympic events be televised LIVE on NBC?
So it seems only American's were offered the 12-15 hour delayed version of the opening ceremonies. Canada, Mexico, Japan...all broadcast the events live.

Anybody know if we will be privileged with any live showing of the Olympic events??? Too bad NBC has put dollars ahead of the drama and excitement of watching it in real time.

Given the vast amount of world-wide coverage, there will be internet spoilers all over the place with the live results. Like NBC thinks we won't find out who won yesterday! What a joke.

3. Chinese time zones don't really conform to the NBC prime time schedule
Though considering NBC owns a dozen or so cable channels (and really, does CNBC have anything worth watching anymore) they should be able to run some live feeds on at least that channel.

4. Uh, it's round
Only people who are up all night can see most events live.

I'm glad they delayed the opening ceremonies here. I only caught the last little bit on Chinese TV--overslept.

I would hate to have missed them, choppy camera work, inane and overly propagandized commentary, stupid commercials, and all. I do admit having the sound off for a lot of it.

Just the amazing sequence with the "movable type" was worth it.

And read King Kauffman's columns.
He's all over this.
A really smart, fun read.
