Shouldn't GOP Have A Sista Soulja Moment And Denounce The RW Hate Mongers?
Edited on Wed Aug-13-08 04:31 PM by Median Democrat
We have the Tennessee church massacre of members of a church with liberal beliefs by a gunmen who had scores of RW literature found in his home including books by Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter. Then, we have the killing of the chairman of the Democratic party in Arkansas today.

Yet, still, no outrage or demands that the RW hate industry take responsiblity or be held accountable that some people might actually take their shouts of "treason" seriously, and take matters into their own hands. With the Democratics leading in polls, and Big Media in RW spin mode, the weak minded are beginning to take matters into their own hands.

With all the hate and demonization of liberals and Democrats, it is inevitable that some people will believe that they are justified in engaging in violence. Yet, Big Media will once again gloss over this story while highligting whether video games or rap spur violence.

1. Blowhards like Rush and Hannity and Coulter will never admit that they are
responsible for this kind of hatred. They are never honest with themselves or anyone else.

2. Careful watch you wish for.
If the speculation going on in LBN is true, this may boomerang right back at us.

8. In LBN (Latest Breaking News)...
some are speculating that the victim may have been targeted not because he was a Democrat, but because he was the shooter's boss.

3. The TN thing I get, but it's not yet clear what happened in AR
I don't care what you suspect happened, or what you "just know" to be true...do you have facts yet?

11. Of mine? No. Of yours? Don't know.
Do I have to have skin in the game to want facts before I bleat?

Were you around here when the DC snipers were on the loose?

That's all. Nevermind.

17. Not joining the lynch mob does not equal defending the shooter
Edited on Wed Aug-13-08 05:41 PM by Dreamer Tatum
Look over my posts everywhere. I require facts and consistency, is all.

RW radio may have influenced the shooter. It may not have. Don't know yet.
I personally think it might have - after all, who targets someone as mundane
as a state level political operator unless politics rules their life?

I just hate when people rush to judgment. There will be PLENTY of time to judge
once the available facts come out.

4. They can't do that.
The gop owes its soul to the Xian rwingers. If they lose this group they're toast. Ever since Nixon's Southern Strategy the gop has been courting these people and winning elections across the country because of it. They've got no other options.

7. And The Pope Will Start Dovening...And Pigs Will Fly
(codeword to other Jewish DU'ers)

Why should to GOOP renounce what's gotten them where they are...the party of racism. It's been in their playbook since 1968 and at least this year, they're showing their true colors.

The seeds of a nutjob going after "libruls" is just a smokescreen for a lot of other dysfunctional problem. Sorry...I'm not into feeling persecuted. I had family that perished in the gas chambers cause they couldn't stand up to the bullies...I'm not going silently...nor fear any chickeshit wingnut. There are a lot more of us than there are of them.

12. The shooting in Arkansas was by a guy who had been laid off
Edited on Wed Aug-13-08 05:04 PM by proud2Blib
by the guy he shot. Nothing indicates it was because he was a Democrat.

13. That seems to be in dispute
which means it could still be a political hit.

Add to it that the guy was a Clinton superdelegate, but there is nothing to be inferred from that.

I hope they get to the why of it. Hopefully a glance at his computer, bookshelves, writings, etc will provide a motive.

Hastings says Gwatney was shot multiple times in his upper body. He says there is no known connection between Gwatney and the
gunman. The gunman sped away from the headquarters and was shot dead after a police chase that ended in Grant County. Police have not named the shooter, but they said he was 51 years old.

21. Latest - Shooter Did Not Work For Gwatney - Still No Motive
This is not hard. First, was he a registered Republican or Democrat? The DNC should know this. Second, what books and literature are found in his home?
