Iraq/al Qaeda connection simplified
Edited on Thu Aug-14-08 12:32 AM by noise
It doesn't take a trilogy of Suskind's insider revelations to determine the Bush administration deceived the country. Just one question:

What countries support al Qaeda?

The Bush administration DID NOT want the answer to this question. Case in point, there are 28 pages in the 9/11 Joint Inquiry report which describe the involvement of Saudi officials in 9/11. The Bush administration made sure the public didn't get to read those pages. For some reason the only link they cared about was that between Iraq and al Qaeda.

1. There was no link between Iraq and AQ
Bush** invaded Iraq because Hussein was going to nationalize the oil. (You know how steamed Bush** got when Hugo Chavez did the same.) Bush** and his oil partners wanted control of Iraqi oil. They're still trying.

We didn't go into Saudi Arabia even though most of the 9-11 hijackers came from there, because SA is in bed with our oil firms already. And it's a nasty, well-used bed.

2. True
The link (between Iraq and al Qaeda) was made up.

No error. No intelligence failure. No good faith effort.

Just a slam dunk effort to betray the public.

3. As much as this matters, there are two significant obstacles to rectifying it
1) Last poll I saw, most Americans still believe Hussein was working with AQ and 2) the Dems -- our only real hope of seeing justice -- are too compromised to hold BushCo accountable and return us to the rule of law.

We're watching the destruction of our country. IMO there's nothing to do but hold on tight because it's going to be a bumpy ride into the abyss.

4. Suskind wants Congressional hearings?
The WH forced links to a country not connected to al Qaeda while deliberately covering up the involvement of a country with direct links to al Qaeda and 9/11. This has been public record for quite some time. No further hearings needed. Just impeachment proceedings.

5. There will be no impeachment proceedings
Impeachment is off the table. And I sincerely doubt from what I've heard from Obama that he'll investigate either. All the evidence will gather dust. Sorry.
