when the secret police come though a train station or other public place and pick someone up, and everyone pretends not to see?


Well, I saw a pair of people from Mexico or Latin America today at the train station today while I was waiting with my kid for her train back to school. I wanted to warn them that I've seen the Immigration Service hold the train in the station to go through it and arrest undocumented people. Maybe the two I saw were here legally, maybe not.



And before anyone asks, there are a lot of undocumented workers in my area working on local farms.

I love old movies. It is weird to see the WWII glorified,and glamorized though.

2. Over 15 yrs. ago in La Jolla, CA, Immigration would stop city

buses on their routes and check anyone that looked Latino, they arrested many this way.

3. In general, I assume everyone is here legally until proven otherwise.

On the coast post-Katrina where I live, there are many Hispanics who have flooded in to take construction jobs and many other jobs, and I've worked with several of them. I just assume they are all legal.
