 Fundies don't realize how funny they are when they blow a gasket because of a greeting card.

from the American Family Association's "news" service, OneNewsNow:

Hallmark courts the 'gay' market
Ed Thomas - OneNewsNow - 8/22/2008 11:50:00 AM

The Hallmark greeting card company has created several new cards designed as gifts especially for same-sex couples and their "weddings" or "commitment" ceremonies. That news has led one pro-family activist to warn that it's another step in the strategy to incorporate homosexuality into customs that have been considered "normal" and "sacred" in the culture.

A published report quotes a Hallmark spokesperson as saying the company's "coming out" cards, which hit stores last year -- and the new same-sex wedding cards, brought into circulation following the landmark California Supreme Court ruling legalizing homosexual "marriage" -- are intended to help the company be "as relevant as possible to as many people as we can."

But Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality says the cost of that relevance is ignoring what God's Word says about behavior that God considers sin. "It's very sad to see these large corporations choosing the almighty dollar over basic Christian morality," he comments.

LaBarbera says regardless if homosexuals choose the domesticated aspect -- same-sex marriage -- or the radical aspect, which encompasses "gay pride" marches down Main Street USA, God considers all of it equally wrong...and continues to love the sinner.

"That's something we have to remember," he urges, "as the gay side increasingly will try to attach itself to things which were once noble -- like marriage."

The activist thinks there may be enough people who do not agree that the new cards are consistent with the wholesome image that Hallmark is known for, that it may backfire -- including, according to LaBarbera, a company phone operator who he spoke with when calling corporate headquarters to express his views on the new cards.

2. Pro-Family activists should be happy that more people are getting hitched.
