Does anybody know when Biden's wife and daughter were killed?

Does anybody know when Biden's wife and daughter were killed?
I know that they died in a car accident, but I don't know when. I think Joe Biden was 29, but I'm not sure.

His wife and infant daughter died in a car accident shortly after he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972

The daughter was only a month old.

Actually, their daughter was a YEAR and a month. She was born in November of '71 and died in December of '72 according to the bio I read here. Still very young. :(
