"We ask, but we don’t demand"
"“When the officer told me I couldn’t leave, I packed up my camera gear, sat in my car and waited for (Cpl. Tom) Robison,” Cox said of the department’s FBI liaison, who asked to view Cox’s photographs to see if they were detrimental to homeland security."

"Texas City Police Chief Robert Burby said Friday that an investigation into the matter, which followed a complaint from the newspaper claiming unlawful detention, concluded Cox was free to leave."

Read the article, ask yourself, who's telling the truth? "“I asked, ‘So I can’t leave?’” Cox said. “And he said ‘no,’ that I had to stay to talk with their (FBI representative).”

If he was free to leave what would have happened when the FBI representative showed up? You know, the one called to look at the photographers images, the one who could leave at any time.

Now if the photographer is lying like the police are insinuating then why call for someone to look at his images if he decided not to stay? Why call in anyone if they didn't detain the photographer? See where I'm going? The Police Chief's bucket holds no water.

"We ask, but we don’t demand" says the man with the gun.
