The media is now analyzing Michelle Obama's speech word by word..
First they asked God and everybody what the speech meant. Was it in some kind of code we didn't know about?
Then they talked about the speech as a whole. After that came the analysis of parts of the speech followed by
a discussion of each sentence. Now they are down to parsing each word, and I assume they will follow suit with
syllables. I expect the etymology to follow.
I expect Sasaha and Malia will be the next to have their utterances picked apart.
The Soaps have more news!

2. Those girls were cute.. that little one, welcoming the other family. that was awesome.
And Michelle trusted they would act dignified.. so much so, she let them hold the mic... now, that's a family.

7. While I normally think Mike Barnacle (sp?)
is an ass, he was right about one thing this morning. There are no more magical words in our language than when a daughter says "Hi Daddy" the way Sacha did last night.

4. I hear she's in big trouble over punctuation.
Damned semi-colons.

11. yeah, one right-wing caller (feigning "fairness" by saying that he expects the GOP conv. to be the
same thing) was going on and on about how she "uh"ed too much, and that her grammatical errors were horrendous, and how she's not a great speaker for someone so "intelligent" (his almost-audible quote marks) ...

at least he didn't start with "I'm a lifelong democrat, but ..."

6. I gotta give Kudos to Michelle Obama for her speech last night
I think it hit all the right chords, and better yet she was profoundly "believable" in the words she spoke, a sense that you don't acquire from most political figures these days. I may be out in left field, but I think Michelle Obama would make a great addition to the Supreme Court.

8. Why should the nation care what only the Republicans think of Michelle's speech?
Because those are the only ones they're asking.

10. "The soaps have more news"
great line. I haven't watched soaps in a long time, but when I did watch the actors were better, and the script was far more believable.
