Mrs. Greenspan just said that "Most Americans think that Libby should be pardoned."
yes, she did

she just said it to David Gregory, subbing for tweety.

she ALSO said that Roger Ailes was making fun of Bush the other day when he made the comment on Obama being on the move/run, whatever. I heard some wingnut jerk on TV/radio say the same thing. Is that how they're playing that one?

NOT that the right wing is doing every little thing they can do sow the seeds of doubt/distrust regarding him, in every little way they can?

I can't believe she said the latter, and am wondering if she's right about the former...

I saw the CNN poll that said over two thirds of those polled there were against the pardon (I realize how worthless those polls are), but have there been solid numbers about public reaction to the conviction?

She's been revealed to be either a drunk (self-admitted) or liar many times in the past, so I don't trust anything she says.

I'll look/see what I can find WRT poll numbers, but......

Her world is a world of capos and gangsters, bribers and the bribed, the sycophantic, rotting underpinnings of this once great nation

9. this "truth" is coming from the same person who asserted
that "everyone knew" Valerie Plame was covert and later withdrew that bogus claim. Consider the source... and the possible motivations.

12. thanks for the reminder....this is what I was talking about.
Imus is the only one in the M$M who's ever taken her to task

http://blog.courttv.com/inside/2007/02/imus_in_the_cou.html

I've always wondered why Fitz didn't force her to testify, even if it was just to clear up what the hell she was talking about that day on Imus

she CLEARLY was trying to cover up some forbidden knowledge

21. Maybe she'll be called before Congress?
Or Fitz might call her later during appeals?

One can hope...

10. They keep the talk about the pardon to deflect all debate away from Cheney
and his fingerprints all over the Libby case. Talk only about the pardon. That's the order.

And yes they are trying to push the idea that Ailes is an impartial media man who sometimes even criticises GWB. You will hear that alot now that FauxNews has been rejected as an impartial news station.

20. I agree. I also felt the pardon talk was ginned up to take up time that should've
been used to pinpoint Cheney, Rove and Bush's roles in what happened.

I can hear it now. "We were reluctant to grant a pardon, but the people have spoken"

15. CNN computer says no
latest numbers are 69% against a pardon.

These people just like to assert what THEY think is common sense, and then try to make you prove them wrong. And they have the bully pulpit.

But whhy does she deny in "editorial commentary" what the news page is reporting?

We all know why, I think.

17. This talking point about the public wanting Libby pardoned...IMO they're
pulling it of their asses. Trying to float the idea and gauge the reaction is my guess. I'm so disgusted with these phony journalists. They should be ashamed of what they've become.

19. yellowcake - 16 words - war lies - forged documents
Every time they say pardon they're diverting attention from what we need to be talking about and would be if they weren't distracting us with pardon.
