And have we apprehended Osama bin Laden? We have not. Do we even know that he was behind the attacks. We do not. But we have spent upwards of a trillion dollars invading two (or is it three?) other countries, killed thousands more of our own people than died that horrible day, killed hundreds of thousands of other people who had nothing to do with the attacks, squandered our position among the nations of the world, run up hundreds of billions of dollars in new debt, and impoverished our own country.
