Well, actually in certain venues it can buy love, love of a sort. We could ask Duke Cunningham.

This week it's going to be the lead story. I'm guessing the VILLAGE VOICE will be worth a look this week.

Some big changes ahead.

7. It's kind of funny.
Never thought I'd be so relieved to be poor. I see the market falling, and the 47 cents in my pocket stays right where it is. I do feel for anyone silly enough to have significant savings in the market right now.

8. A lot of the stock exchange folks are far richer than I am, too,
and a lot more intense. Or a lot more hypertensive, not sure which word I want.

Have you heard James Taylor's "The Money Machine" ?

(Money...)

Now you can measure your manhood by it
You can get your children to try it
You can bring your enemies to their knees
With the possible exception of the North Vietnamese

10. Or how bout this oldie but goodie from Traffic-
The percentage you're paying is too high priced
While you're living beyond all you're means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams
But today you just read that the man was shot dead
By a gun that didn't make any noise
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest
Was the low spark of high-heeled boys, high-heeled boys

16. Hey ya asdjrocky!
Well, our weather has been terrible for the garden added to the fact that it was late and ill planned. Everything is kinda moist and rotting before I can even get it in. Yours?

Next year I will be ready.

Traffic, man what a band that was.

18. Tomatoes are still going strong.
We kind of have a very long growing season here, so I've planted some new tomato plants, some zucchini, and I'm still hoping for something from my corn. I'm clearing some spots right now for my fall and winter stuff.

Yeah, I like Traffics early stuff, but I'm not much of a classic rock guy. For me it's the punk movement of the 70s and 80s as well as early Ice T and NWA and Public Enemy.

14. I believe it was in the very early 70s that I saw Traffic.
I was just about 12 and if I remember correctly, and it's very possible that I don't if you know what I mean, they were with Argent and Humble Pie.

9. money talks....
Money talks, it'll tell you a story
Money talks, says strange things
Money talks very loudly
You'd be surprised the friends you can buy with small change
They say it's the root of all evil
They say gold is the king
Money talks, you'd better believe it
All that gold don't mean a thing
Rich people, hear those pockets jingle
Spare change, hear the down-and-outers cry
Money talks, tip-toe up behind you
Steal what they can, off the cuff or on the sly
Money talks
Money talks
Money talks
Money talks

17. Are you telling me that I've misunderstood those lyrics my entire life?
I always thought they were singing: "I don't care to watch my money..."

 What a dope I am.
