3. He ignored it at the UN, the rest of the world was pissed.
Tomorrow the market will react to his fear mongering. It's all he knows.

I think 2 four year terms is WAY TOOOO LONG for anyone to be President.

15. I almost thought he was going to talk about mushroom clouds again
I find it strange that several Republican talking heads were talking about this economic situation as a Pearl Harbor event. Isn't that how the PNAC described the event that would trigger their opportunity to implement their plans for the world?

17. Bush wasn't talking this way just one week ago
Here's what he said in a Rose Garden speech just one week ago, when he refused to bail out Lehman Brothers:

"But in the long run I am confident that our capital markets are flexible and resilient and can deal with these adjustments."

What happened in one week? Last week this economic situation was a mere "adjustment" and the markets were "flexible and resilient". Last week he was talking about "the long run". This week there's an urgent and desperate need to address the economic situation without delay and without allowing time for further debate. What happened?

18. Either Bush has been lying since his State of the Union address
or this is another power grab. He can choose which is correct.

Either way, this is the result of that panic, panic, panic speech. Even Tweety is worried about the tone of that speech.

happy I got my canned goods

I expect panic soon

Though to his credit, (or rather that of the writer) they tried to 'splain some of this... even derivatives.... but did a lousy job the crayons
