They're saying no to their corporate benefactors. I wonder how all of this will play out down the road.

1. This is one of the strongest cultural wedge issues around...
It's just that it cleaves on a different plane than a lot of the other cultural wedges, it lines lower and middle class small town Repubs with big city Dems against the upper class.

This one kicks you right in the gut.. $2300 per man, woman and child, just yank it outta' yer' ass, citizen.

Or charge it to your kids and grandkids.

My son in law with a wife and three kids don't like it when I put it that way.

3. 'Blame the DEMOCRAT party' is their goal
They will scream that any 'bailout' is Dem's caving to wall street, and if the collapse happens soon (it's inevitable) they will say the Dems obstructed their 'plans'.

This is all sooooo F'ed up.

I'm glad we put 1/2 of our assets in Reals (Brazilian).

4. I would agree with you if it weren't so close to election day 2008
I think they see a huge economic fuck up ahead and they know that the Democrats will be fully in charge very soon. Now they can pretend to be fiscal conservatives again.
