Oprah RIGHT NOW discussing economic crisis....
It's on my TV.
Just thought I'd put it out there.

8. She has
her pal Gayle and Allie Wentworth and Mark Consuellos on to talk about issues of the day.
She noted some unbelievable numbers on bonuses for Wall Street guys who got us into this mess and the panel all bitched about how unfair it is.

Mark Consuellos ranted about how he doesn't want people like him to be leaders -- he wants people that are much smarter and much more educated than him to be making decisions.

It's already moved on from being interesting. But the first few moments were pretty cool.

3. Question:
What does a woman worth billions understand about the poverty so many of us face every day? After all, it is a proven psychological fact that those who are now rich, but came from a modest background, are often the least empathic towards those in poverty.

6. She's done some great shows about living on low wages
that really got people where they really live, ground down a little more every single day.

My guess is that this will be another such show.

Every once in a while they let her out of the cage and she does a real beaut.

10. I agree. Me neither.
It just came on and I thought I'd post it.
The first few minutes were actually kind of good, but then it moved on from there.
I didn't mean to demean DU, just thought it was interesting that even a forum as cotton candyish as Oprah was talking about it.

5. Has she said if she is going to talk to her.....
boyfriend Ahnald about why he vetoed consumer protection provisions in bills that
would have given the California home owner even a little chance.

9. She talked about why she isn't having Palin on and why there is no political discussion -
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 04:22 PM by Pirate Smile
because she endorsed Obama and said she wouldn't use her show for any politics.

edit to add - Gayle said that if Oprah had interviewed Palin in the exact same way Katie Couric did then everyone would be slamming Oprah. LOL.
