Here comes the slime train...
...formerly known as the "Straight Talk Express"

Ayers, Rezko, Wright, "secret Muslim," it's all about start cascading down. McCain is headed for the gutter and Obama best be ready. They are going to try the shotgun approach as evidenced in the last week, a scattering of lies so egregious and atrocious they can't all be addressed.

How long before we see ads with Obama's face alongside those of OJ Simpson or Jesse Jackson? I wouldn't be shocked to see spots with Obama's visage photoshopped on post-Katrina looters or Al Qaeda agents.

Obama will have to call to attention what such tactics say about the character of his opponents or suffer the consequences. This is going to get as ugly as we all knew it would.

3. It's already been going downhill...cheap shots galore
If they say they're gonna get tougher, I can hardly imagine what is in store. I mean, they've thrown the kitchen sink at him. I remember days when they just bombared the Internets and airwaves with these trashy ads like no one's business so I am not surprised that it will continue. What DOES amaze me is that Obama refuses to wallow in the mire with the other side.

4. There's a difference in wallowing in the mire...
...and defending yourself. Americans will not vote for someone they perceive as weak or unwilling to take up for themselves in a firm manner. It did Kerry in for sure.

5. Hey, I couldn't agree with you more! I hope in the next debate
that Obama is as aggressive as can be. The reason that Biden was perceived more favorably as having won his debate, IMO, is that he defended himself as well as clearly demonstrated why McCain's policies are a disaster.
