Our Democratic Club Float won First Prize in the parade today!! (Conservative town)

Our Dem club had a little hokey float in the parade today in our town. It was cute, but I never dreamed it would win anything. I think it had much more to do with the reaction of the crowd than the float itself. Sure, we got a few quiet "boos" and a couple clueless women called out "Sarah" at one point. But the vast majority of the crowd reaction was totally positive! People perked up when we drove by and clapped and yelled and gave us the thumbs up. They called out "Democrats! Yeah!" and "Go Obama!!" We had the lifesized cardboard Obama on board with us.

When I first moved to this town five years ago, I thought I must have been the only Democrat in town. Then I found our little Dem club and now this! THE WORM IS TURNING GUYS! :woohoo:

Here's a picture, a really lousy picture, and I apologize for that, but it's the only one I have for now and at least you get the idea. My daughter and I are in front with the Uncle Sam hats on.
