Ok so this is what a friend just sent me.. and I need yalls help!
This is a very sweet lady and I love her to death she would do anything for me but heres the deal she sent me that latest email here it is...

To All My Friends, this is long, but every important, please take the time to read it.

> This election has me very worried. So many things to

> 'where did the money come from for Obama'. I have

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in
> California . He is very open about his two years at
> Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his
> time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply
> himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name
> he used all his life) during this time had two roommates,
> Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan .
> During the summer of 1981, after his second year in
> college, he made a 'round the world' trip.
> Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in
> India , three weeks in Karachi , Pakistan where he stayed with
> his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his
> father's family. My question - Where did he get the
> money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children
> wo uld have had money for a trip like this when they where in
> college. When he came back he started school at Columbia
> University in New York . It is at this time he wants
everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the
> tuition is at Columbia ? It's not cheap to say the
> least! Where did he get money for tuition? Student
> Loans? Maybe. After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as
> a Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicago ?
> Why not New York ? He was already living in New York .
>
> By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko,
> born in Aleppo Syria , and a real estate developer in
> Chicago . Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery
> this year. Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the
> Decade' by the Arab-American Business and Professional
> Association'. About two years later, Obama entered
> Harvard Law School . Do you have any idea what tuition is
> for Harvard Law School ? Where did he get the money for Law
> School? Mo re student loans? After Law school, he went
> back to Chicago . Rezko offered him a job, which he turned
> down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill
> & Galland. Guess what? They represented
> 'Rezar' which is Rezko's firm. Rezko was one
> of Obama's first major financial contributors when he
> ran for office in Chicago . In 2003, Rezko threw an early
> fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David
> Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with
> 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race.
In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwood District
> of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price).
> With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money
> for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita,
> purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London
> Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire
> loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new
> home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with
> Rezko.
>
> No w, we have Obama running for President. Valerie
> Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now
> Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major
> decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett
> born? Ready for this? Shiraz , Iran ! Do we see a pattern
> here? Or am I going crazy?

> On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley, advisor
> to Obama, was 'sacked' after the press found out he
> was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which
> controls Gaza and is connected with Iran . This past week,
> buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers
> reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq , he asked
> their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is
> elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.
>
> Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that
> where born in Pakistan ? They are in charge of all those
> 'small' Internet campaign contributions for Obama.
> Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle
> class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?

> And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The
> Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on
> 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on
> talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'.
> When questioned, 'he made a mistake'. Some mistake!
>
> All of the above information I got on line. If you would
> like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama;
> Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times - Obama visited
> Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times - September 7, 2008;
> The Times May 10, 2008.
>
> Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information
> on my own, Why haven't all of our 'intelligent'
> members of the press been reporting this?

> A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - 'Beware of the
> enemy from within'!!!

and this is what I wrote her in response

I love you marybeth but please don't send me this type of trash. Its false on so many levels. That is all I will say... I am a political junkie and research many many things....you know I love you girly but please respect me enough not to send me these silly things.

and this is her response

I love you too! This was not to start a political debate among friends. We could go all day back and forth with stuff. I too I have been educating myself and I will stick by what I forwarded, which was more about people not being able to voice their opinions against him in fear of being policed, which is not false and was on the news just this week.

Fact his a lot of his funding is not from America! He has a 24 hour cable channel and has announced that he will be running 30 minute commercial blocks on national stations about a week out from the election. That kind of air time is not cheap and being back by others outside of the US!

I think a lot of our differences in this thought process is because of Christian vs.. Non-Christian beliefs. I have told you many times that I will continue to be there for you, but I will also try to encourage you see there is a God and that he is there for all of us.

so Help me debunk all of this in a nice education way.. maybe not all of it but the key points... thanks yall!

You know what one of their cohorts said? That "snopes has become a horn for obama"
(whatever the hell a horn for him is supposed to mean WTF?)

You know what is flipping me out about some of these jerks sending me this garbage?

I have known them online for almost ten years as so called *Dems* and it is becoming rapidly apparent that they have been trolls all along given their recent activities--how dedicated ARE these people to pull off a ruse like that for THAT LONG?!?!

I lost a long time net friend when I pointed out that we put in Saddam and sold WMD to him. It was awfully sad.

And some people will just deny, like that guy, when confronted with the facts. Some people won't admit water is wet if it will shake up their world view.

I am sure that one is...their latest now is that PNAC has been controlling all the markets and that PNAC didn't want Clinton, or McCain as President (WTF? LOL)

They don't even make any freaking sense, so they are either nuts, or have been closet repukes all along.

The Internet is great in one sense, but the game playing and faux persona gotcha crap is getting REALLY OLD!

I should just stop even reading their swill, but I feel compelled to see what is being circulated!

8. Ask her how she feels to find out all the lies she believes about Obama came from ...
... a joke site?

The Truthiness Encyclopedia started a bunch of jokes about Obama, his middle name, his "Muslim" faith, being a terrorist, etc.

People copied and spread the jokes far and wide without remembering where they came from! (like an internet game of telephone)

But, believe me, they all started on the online encyclopedia based on a joke by Stephen Colbert.

Don't believe me?

12. First of all, 95% OF HIS CONTRIBUTIONS ARE
FROM THE U.S. and from people like you and me. My entire family and friends (including my ex republican in laws) donates to Obama religiously EVERY month. This is not a one time deal. Our donations to him is part of our monthly budget. I, myself donate to him $100 per month since he won the nomination, and others $25. $50. $75. We are all americans and we do this donation automatically every month.

She is looking for an excuse to not support him. The contributions to him are released to the Department of ____ i forgot the name.. anyway, the list of names of people are on that list. Yes, there are some donations from abroad but those also are small amounts and i bet these donations are from Americans too that live abroad.

Tell her that. Obama's donations are from regular working people that are struggling economically but that wants real change. For the first time in my life and in my family's' life we are donating to a political candidate, and we are doing it because we firmly believe that the presidency shouldn't be bought by lobbyists, the government and white house belongs to us, the people. I am glad Obama is buying those half hour times with several networks, i jumped of joy, i felt my family Adan me have contributed to this.

Obama 08'
You should reply to her and put her in her place. It is obvious as she stated she is not backing down from her "new found" charges and believes.

13. I got something similar this morning too.
It had a picture of detective Columbo on it and asked why Obama won't release these items. I have looked on snopes, Obama's smear site, and fact check. I can't find anything except about the birth certificate being authentic. I finally wrote back and asked the person where this kind of crap came from. I said that I don't see the same demands being made of the three other white candidates but if he wanted to claim it wasn't racism, so his conscious felt good, by all means claim it. But that I knew better. I hate it when I can't find something concrete to send back and I hate not responding because I think that then makes the other person think they have won something and damn if I am going to do that.

Almost all of those are from Philip Berg's current lawsuit claiming that Sen. Obama lost his US citizenship when he was supposedly adopted by Lolo Soetoro, and is therefor unable to legally be president.

19. This is her response!
It's not that I don't believe you! Just like any campaign untruths will fly. Whether all untrue or just a portion. All of Bieden's stats given during the VP debate were untrue, but how many Americans paid attention enough to check. Obama has two books that he has published that are not flattering to me of him. Along with his "slipped" up saying his "Muslim Faith." Like I said, we can go back and forth debating them all day.

What I was enraged about in this particular email was about people sending email out or speaking out against Obama and being either questioned, arrested or both. That's is what infuriates me the most. It is our right to express how we feel and it is protected.
Bottom line is NO president can do more than what Congress allows him to do! That was proven with the first bailout proposal, which by the way, I was/am totally against. Bush can call on all the the help he wants, but it is up to Congress what will happen and just like the Democrats wanted additional crap that had nothing to do with the bailout got passed, just so that we could put a band aid on something that needs surgery!!

All I can say, is that it is Democrat or Republican, we have to pray for this Nation. The world as we knew it has changed and will forever be changed.

we have a black candidate close to winning. That is the only explanation for that. And she isn't looking at it like a good thing, the way we do. And no one has been arrested for questioning or speaking out against Obama. PLEASE. She should be made to prove that one. A lot of repubs are spouting that stuff about no president has more power than congress allows them to have garbage lately. Then why bother to have a president at all? crikey, how stupid.

20. Look at the crap I am getting today same vile themes
BTW This is SUPPOSEDLY from a *democrat* who has turned independent (yeah right)

The previous Dem thing is total bullshit, this is a repuke operative IMO who has been lurking in one of my political email groups for years on the down low and before anyone jumps on me for reading it's filth, I am only putting up with it's sorry ass, so that I can monitor what it's ilk are up to.

Anyway the below is the crap I have received so far today--no links, just one swine's right winged smears in an email as they claim and pretend to be an *independent*

It is talking about Obama below where it says "HE"

Where is this crap coming from? The below sounds almost identical to the OP's letter that they had foisted on them!

"Oooooops. Seems he has funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars ($800,000 on the news) to them from his campaign funds.

Wasn't they just recently trying to distance him from that group by talking about a slight association he had with them years ago?

They're (ACORN) also under investigation for submitting 'thousands' of illegitimate voter registration cards in the past few days. They submitted 5,000 in one county all made out in the same handwriting. They've already identified over 2,000 as pure fraud before they set the rest of them aside to handle legitimate registrations.

The Congress is up in arms over ACORN getting federal funds but no one seems to know how much they are receiving, they're hiding under an umbrella organization.

Remember, they're working for Obama and they're spread out nation wide.

Here's some crap it sent about Pakistan--Note the racial slur:

"During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, Barry made a "round the world" trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan, where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family.

Where did that po' boy get all that money?
How many people on this list had the cash to travel around the world during a summer break from college whose parents were as poor as Barry lets on? The source of the money that has mysteriously appeared around him during his adult life is troublesome.

I think we know where McCain got his, he married it. But, Mrs. BO claims to have grown up so terribly poor (you know, just one spoon to share with the entire family) that couldn't be the source for BO. Besides that, they weren't married back then."

Seriously though. I'm sick of this stuff.

Even if he was partial to the Muslim faith, I fail to see that as a "mistake" or something to trigger hysteria. Do these same fundamentalist Christians get all excited over Zionists like Lieberman who readily ADMIT that they have greater loyalties (such as to Israel) than to the U.S.

does that happen? No.

37. this is a sad thread. Most of the letter is true and DUers don't care to debunk it
The first paragraph about watching all the stations. That's not middle ground since most of the corporate media is right wing. Try reading The Nation, and The Progressive for some non-corporate news.

Second, about his roommates. Did he choose those roommates, or did the school? I lived in a dorm myself and my first roommate was chosen for me. In graduate school, however, I had a roommate from India that I offered to live with to help him with expenses (and save me some money too). I could have just as easily moved in with my office-mates across the half. One was from Bangladesh (a muslim country) and another from Turkey I think.

During that time my roommate and his wife made several trips to India and/or back, and he was making the same teaching assistant salary that I was. Look at Obama's trip. He stayed with his mother, his roommate's family and his father. So his main expenses were airline tickets. Not that expensive.

Why did he goto Chicago? Who knows and who cares? Why didn't I get a job in Minneapolis after going to school there for five years? Because I didn't want to live in Minneapolis, especially after trying it. Just because somebody goes to school in a town, does not mean they must or should live there. That there's something mysterious if they decide to live somewhere else.

As for Valerie Jarrett. Yes, she was born in Iran, but she is not Iranian. He father was working there at a clinic when she was born, and Iran in 1956 was considered an ally.

As for the 'my muslim religion'. I saw the clip on youtube. He was talking with Steph about people who falsely accused him of being a Muslim. Steph challenged him that McCain had made no such accusation and Obama answered "true, McCain has not said anything about my muslim religion" Thus, he left out the word "alleged" or "supposed". Ironic then, that this very interview becomes another way for people to falsely accuse him of being a muslim.

The Snopes link basically only answers how he bought his house. Duh, presumably he got a mortgage and only put $350,000 down on his house and borrowed the rest.
