would someone with broadband please look at a CNN web page for me?
There's a CNN page that is supposed to show a state-by-state breakdown of campaign spending on television ads. I've been trying to load it, literally for hours, with no luck yet. I can't imagine why the data set would be so big.

I've been seeing a lot of Obama ads here in Alabama, but I must assume those are from national buys.

Could someone please check this page, and tell me how much, if any, the campaigns are spending on ads in Alabama?

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/map/ad.spending/

Thanks!

While I still don't think Obama has much of a chance here, I think those numbers are very encouraging, regarding the big picture.

18. I'm sure most of that was spent in the primary...
I live in the south and travel to Alabama a great deal and I doubt seriously it's in play...I do think it will be closer than usual, which will help in the national vote total...I want a convincing win, not only in the EV, but popular vote as well...we need an overwhelming mandate.
