The Company Mr. Obama Kept -- Widespread Infiltration by 'Terrorist Sympathizers'
Washington Post
Letter to the Editor
Tuesday, October 14, 2008

LISA M. NG of Arlington writes:

Patricia Albjerg Graham, professor emerita and former dean of the Harvard School of Graduate Education. Stanley O. Ikenberry, former president of the University of Illinois. Arnold R. Weber, former president of Northwestern University. Cynthia M. Campbell, president, McCormick Theological Seminary.

What do these people have in common? They, along with many other outstanding individuals with distinguished records in the academic, civic and business worlds, have served with Bill Ayers on the boards of nonprofit organizations. According to Charles Krauthammer, most Americans "would not shake hands with -- let alone serve on two boards with -- an unrepentant terrorist" as a matter of "sheer indecency." Mr. Krauthammer characterized Sen. Barack Obama's participation on these boards alongside Mr. Ayers as "tolerance of the obscene."

What are we to make, then, of the roll call of eminent Americans who have served on boards with Mr. Ayers? Are they all terrorist sympathizers? If so, the mind boggles at the widespread infiltration by terrorist sympathizers of the highest echelons of our society.

3. Rightwingnuts are calling RONALD REAGAN a "terrorist pal"...
since fact is, Ronald Reagan was a close lifelong friend of Walter Annenberg (who worked very closely for years with prof. Bill Ayers on Walter's Annenberg charity).

But the rightwingnuts are so deeply fucking stupid, they don't even know this fact.

5. i've never understood the objection to "serving on the board with" a bad guy
even if we grant them that ayers is (not merely was) a bad guy, what's the objection to serving on the board just because a bad guy also is on the same board?

what, is the idea that if one bad guy gets on a board, all good people should quit, until the board is fully populated with bad guys?

7. Excellent letter.... Excellent point...Anyone with an iota of intelligence would see the point.
Arnold R. Weber, former president of Northwestern University...
He was President when My son started at Northwestern. I met the man in an introductory meeting for parents of new admissions.
He looked and sounded just like Walter Matthau.
