8. And hopefully growing up with the name "Ava Grace".
That's still a cheesy name but it's damn sure better than being named after a doddering old adulterer and a redneck animal slaughteress.

18. I really feel sorry for Palin's grandkid.
They might just have to sponsor a contest for even more redneckier baby names, it's hard to top 'Levi' and 'Bristol' (I'm guessing she's named after the Nascar speedway, not the bay).

20. THAT is hilarious!
It's also why I thoroughly research names before I bestow them on anything, even the latest spider in residence. :D

6. He did this without his wife's approval?
Mark Ciptak of Elizabethton put that name on the documents for the girl's birth certificate, ignoring the name Ava Grace, which he and his wife had picked earlier.

"I don't think she believes me yet," he told the Kingsport Times-News for a story to be published Tuesday. "It's going to take some more convincing."

Wow.

7. Wanna bet it gets changed?
Birth certificates get corrected all the time because of assholes like this guy.

Imagine labeling the kid with a ridiculous name and completely ignoring the name you and your wife had already chosen.

Idiot stick. My guess is that the wife will clean it up.

when Germany invaded the USSR as they saw Hitler as a savior compared to Stalin who had been systematically starving them. Years later, they wondered "What was I thinking at the time?"

17. Great, another bright shining example of logic and reason from Tennessee
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 12:21 PM by TornadoTN
Sometimes I am just ashamed of this state.

On the bright side, there's much more support, money, and time being offered to a Democratic candidate for President than at any time in our history here in East Tennessee. Maybe it will offset the stupid demonstrated in this article.

*ON EDIT* I saw that this moron is from Elizabethton. No offense to any Elizabethton natives here, but Carter and Unicoi counties might as well just post Klan billboards at their borders and erect statues of Ronny Raygun to worship as their god.
