Obama roasts the *daylights* out of McCain
You've gotta see this. It's one of those ties and tails celebrity roasts where the speaker gets to say exactly what's on his mind, in the spirit (guise) of humor and bonhomie. And Obama does just that, unloading on McCain with every needling, nitpicking thing that's probably gotten under his skin this past week. McCain knows everybody's watching him, so he can't sit there looking sour, not for long anyway. It takes a while, but he finally de-crustifies and rolls with it. Meanwhile, Obama's making the most of his opportunity no matter how unhappy it makes the mean little git, zinging McCain with gusto.

Check it out, it's funny as hell.

2. I'm with you - they were both hilarious and both good sports when the subject of the ribbing
Personally, I needed the break from the seriousness of the campaign..I can't begin to imagine how much they needed a break!

3. My impression was that
McCain seemed so funny because we are not used to the kinder side of him and it was a pleasant surprise. But his humor was in no way classier than Obama's humor. IMHO

6. I actually thought they both did a great job, both receiving and giving
I know we aren't supposed to like anything McCain does, but I think he did just fine at this thing.

7. That was one of the funniest fifteen minutes I have witnessed lately
I loved the way McCain led into Obama. I had tears in my eyes from laughing. It was a wonderful way to wind down my day with. to both candidates for their humility and humor.
