I'm fuming. Nice lesson he learned today,of all days, only some views are "OK" to express.

5. he didn't recall seeing any, but every kid in his class...
could have had one and him not notice.

This principle also sent home some nonsense hysterical e-mail, disguised as a notice from a county sheriff, warning about crystal meth flavored like candy being passed out to kids to get them hooked.
When I checked the Fox news link on the flier, it was to a story from about two years ago, and according to snopes, there's never been a single case of candy flavored meth given to children.
Typical wing-nut fearmongering.

9. There was a story out this morning from some place in Minnesota about a kid getting meth & $$
trick-or-treating.

http://kaaltv.com/article/stories/S646232.shtml?cat=10151

A seven-year-old Ramsey boy got more than just candy for Halloween.

According to Ramsey Police, the boy found $200 worth of meth and $85 in cash in his bag when he got home from Trick-or-Treating.

Police say the boy went Trick-or-Treating with his nine-year-old brother in the Highland River Park Addition. During that time, the boy said a teenager ran up to him and asked if he wanted some candy and then threw something in his bag.

Police had been searching for a young man in the area after a report of an assault that night.

12. I like to think so. Kids being subjected to heated partisan talking points...
...that they barely understand is bullying. I don't need her subjected to the "Obama Baby Killer" rhetoric. Besides, wearing campaign paraphernalia to school, regardless of party, isn't allowed.

13. Telling a kid he or she can't wear a button is bullying.
Bully, bully thyself.

15. exactly, he then learns to either keep his views to himself
or agree with whatever idea those around him profess, no matter how outrageous it is.

Sounds exactly like how we got Bush.
