OK, The Daily Show with O'Reilly is being rerun now. I thought it was disgusting.

Jon Stewart talking about how O'Reilly is not an ideologue. BS.

I really think, watching that crap interview, that Stewart at best did one of his worst interviews, and at worst, he was bullied.

Which is what O'Reilly is all about. I expected better.

3. I tried to watch after various DUers posted
that Stewart nailed him.

I agree with you. It was terrible. Jon and Stephen should just ignore him completely.

5. I thought Jon's digs weren't enough.
It's OK, this isn't a biggie to disagree on here.

Jon's slobbering conclusion about how much he likes O'Reilly and how he doesn't believe O'Reilly is an ideologue (said more than once) was really, really disappointing.

O'Reilly exudes physical violence. I think Jon was intimidated this time, and I have never said that before.

6. Easy for us to talk big....
but I did wonder "What has Jon got to lose by goading this asshole into going ballistic and walking off."

Shit... I'd take the best punch that shitweasel O'Liely has got to show him for the turd he is.

8. I would have brought-up the phone sex, Al Franken, and his sex novel.

Not to mention "WE'LL DO IT LIVE!"

But if Jon is TOO hard, then other right-wingers will boycott his show.

BTW, Rahm Emanual and Nancy Pelosi have reportedly told Democrats not to appear on The Colbert Report.

9. Yep. And "you're not an ideologue" was crap.
I love Jon Stewart, I watch him regularly.

That wasn't his finest moment.

10. He did, at the VERY end say, "I don't know WHAT you are."
He gave it to O'Reilly pretty good, IMHO.

I wish he'd give it to Dennis Miller like that.

12. but BillO really ISN'T an ideologue...
He's just a smug asshole bully who knows what his idiot audience likes to hear.

If this were Soviet Russia (say with Yakov Smirnov voice :P), BillO would smugly bitch about how the capitalists were trying to stick it to the common Russian.

13. Lame, lame, lame. Way too soft on B-O-the-C. Just like when he
has McPain on, I find it so completely irritating that I begin to dislike Jon. And I love me some Stewart!

In an EW piece (the one with Colbert and Stewart re-staging the "secret terrorist/secret muslim" New Yorker cover), Stewart talks about McCain as having a "sharp" sense of humor. This disgusts me just as much as having to put up with Him popping up on The Daily Show waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often for a stretch of time last year. I have never found anything he ever said on there to be the least bit amusing. It's the same kind of crap that passed for funny at the RN Convention.

I do admit to being prejudiced against Replugs, but I laugh pretty easily at loads of other stuff. In fact, I adore laughter! However, in watching Maher, Colbert, Stewart, and C-Span I just have found that most Repugs aren't funny (at least not when they intend to be.)
