1. That's almost as good as what Al From and Will Marshall said in January 1995
About how the Right Wing Gingrich takeover of Congress was a "good" thing, because it allowed them (the DLC) the opportunity to liberate the Democratic party from the legacy of FDR.

Only Chimp Bush has ever perverted the definition of the word "liberate" more than that. But the "liberation" was just about as disastrous. :(

2. This is why so many of us fought the DLC tooth and nail
whenever we could and why we were jubilant when Dr. Dean became party chairman.

I just hope whoever succeeds him will continue his work.

I just hope the DLC doesn't worm its way back in at any level of this administration. They are not our friends. They are not this country's friends.

3. You have to give him credit even though he has
unpopular beliefs at times he sticks to his guns.

4. Sticking to your guns is not necessarily a virtue....
Take, as an example, George "Miserable Failure" Bush..

6. That article is a splendid example of poisonous DLC propaganda:
at a time when the Republicans in power were shrieking that no one should criticize the president, were calling for boycotts of law firms whose partners represented accused terrorists, were calling union members terrorists, were spying on vegetarians and peace activists &c&c, the DLC decided that liberals were ideological conformists intolerant of dissent, and held up Lieberman as the beacon of Democratic party unity and as the best example of a Democratic politician who could help Democrats win elections

DLCers, of course, are not insane: they're just liars
