Venus and Jupiter
will be within the cusp of the moon tomorrow night. Won't happen again until 2052.
All three are visible here on the west coast tonight. Quite a sight. z

3. Cusps are the pointed ends of the moon.
The moon will be a crescent shape. Should be visible shortly after
sunset in the northern hemisphere. Hope you have good weather. z

16. maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying
It sounds like an object that is within the cusp of the moon falls along our line of sight to the dark portion of the moon. While Venus and Jupiter may appear close to the moon, they can't be within the cusp of the moon, since they're always farther away from us than the moon.

Still worth having a look, though.

9. They've been big and bright in our sky for two weeks, it seems.
They were in the cusp this evening, but clouds covered he moon very quickly. Later, the moon was visible, but Venus and Jupiter were clouded over. It was a beautiful sight.

13. That's what I saw a few nights ago!
I was w/a friend who was closing up her shop and noticed two very bright stars around 6 pm in a NW direction. I even asked her if they were stars, they were so big and bright.

Weather permitting, I'm going to grab my neighbor and have a camera feast tomorow night!

14. I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to photograph it but
had no luck this evening. Of course I don't have a great camera, but damn I'm trying to figure out. I have a fantastic view of it over the ocean from my front porch, but can't get the camera to pick it up.

18. Thanks. I don't think I can do time exposure with my camera.
The tripod isn't a problem. At least I won't go nuts trying now.

17. Thanks for the headsup, Zoigal. This is also a good time to start looking for Sirius below
Orion's belt as it begins its alignment signifying the arrival of the winter solstice.

19. Damn. With our forecast, I won't be seeing the sky until next week.
We're in the middle of a ice pellet storm right now.
