It is possible to move beyond the Hillary anger and be happy with Obama's choice --- I have.

I'll admit to expressing some very strong anti-Hillary sentiments during the primaries, but she moved on and so have I. When the dust finally settled, she supported Obama and did so graciously.

President Elect Obama combined a variety of interests in naming Hillary SOS.

Call it a unification of quarterbacks on the same team. But in this case, Obama is the quarterback and coach. This also assures us that Hillary will not be out there as a potential alternative voice; President Obama's agenda will be THE AGENDA for the party. I know some folks don't trust her motives, but she is working for our president. There is no ambiguity there.

If it were not for their history, or the knock-down-drag out close primary battle we had, it may be Hillary Clinton would not ever be the SOS. Yet bringing the party under one roof is worth it. I'm confident she will do a great job and given how damn angry I was with her and Bill (per their tactics in the heat of battle); some how, I managed to move on and let go.

Continued anger at her is also reflected at the man that chose her. I simply suggest giving it some time before assuming the worst, you may be surprised. Barack Obama needs every ounce of good will as he begins to clean up the HUGE mess left behind by the criminal regime.

I have moved beyond my *intense* Hillary anger and am fully willing to giver her the benefit of doubt - and really believe this was a wise choice.

peace~ :)

2. my contempt for Sen. Clinton has absolutely nothing to do...
...with her primary fight against Barak Obama. It has EVERYTHING to do with her willing authorization of the invasion of Iraq, a crime against humanity, and her participation in the murder of hundreds of thousands. Hillary Clinton is a war criminal. She's not alone-- war crimes seem to be a strong positive on one's resume for SecState-- Rice, Powell, Kissenger, and Albright all proceed her.

3. Does your anger mess with supporting President Elect Obama?
My anger at her had to do with both (IWR vote and primaries), yet there comes a point where continued anger hurts not Hillary, but Obama and ultimately....myself for carrying it around.

I understand the rage Mike, just asking since it is what it is and Hillary will be the next SOS, can you find other ways to support Obama and still be pissed, albeit without the need to vent.

You right to rage on, just asking. :)

Seriously-- my anger is not necessarily directed at Obama or Clinton-- it's directed at the leadership that got us into this sorry mess and which, I'm afraid to say, continues to perpetuate it. Obama and Clinton coincidentally belong to that leadership.

We do not need a subtle course correction in this country's foreign policy. We need a radical change in direction.

As far as foreign policy is concerned, I don't think Obama or Clinton-- or much of the rest of the folks he's named to his cabinet-- are going to produce the sort of about-face America desperately needs. They are going to continue being part of the problem rather than providing solutions that make real world differences.
