Did anyone see the Saddleback Civil Forum on CSPAN today???
Bush and Laura at a table talking with Rick Warren and his wife,
Full name of this thing is : Saddleback Church Civil Forum on Global Health Newseum.
Ole Bush is laughing and chatting and calling Laura "baby" and Laura is chatting along a mile a minute.
Rick Warren is leading Bush around by the nose.
Bush is speaking complete sentences, tho not related to any reality I have known.

On C-Span !!!! C-SPAN. Like this is some serious news event.

I feel like I am watching a Puritan church meeting.

Mrs. Warren asking Laura " How did you teach your daughters to have such a sense of self sacrifice/".

This is so Twilight ZONE, on so many levels.

5. Warren spent the last few years spinning the notion...
...that he represented a "new evangelism" that was moderate, concerned with compassion and social justice, and not tied to the Religious Right. His activities during the election season have certainly given the lie to that claim.

7. Ha self sacrafice- by not wearing the uniform of their nation.
One of the three anecdotal reasons i knew the Iraq war was bogus was- In every serious American conflict the children or the spouses of the children of the President have worn the uniform. Not in this war-so therefore no serious threat.

Heck Lincoln's son was at Appomattox and he was.., what 15?? :smoke:
TR lost a son in WWI and TRjr was at D-Day.
I could go on.

OK I can't resist.... Margaret Truman sang and drove the boys out of the country TO Korea.
