Now people are losing their jobs and desperation is setting in...

23. Someone needs to compile the data
and see if this is a statistically significant peak in violence from last year, or if we're all overreacting.

Remember that trend a while back where it seemed every other day another pretty blond girl was being kidnapped? Judging by the news we had hit a major spike in child abductions but the numbers didn't back that interpretation.

5. Quick! Somone blame this on K-Mart...
instead of on a bunch of lowlife scumbags making up far too large a part of the population in this country.

(Wasn't there a mall shooting somewere on Friday, too? Two women got into a fistfight and their gang brothers backed them up?)

15. Not gonna happen. Now if this had happened at a Walmart instead, we would be inundated
with posts as to the legal and moral responsibility that a big box retailer has to provide a safe shopping environment. :)

22. Is there any word yet on what kind of deals K-Mart was offering?
We don't want to jump to any conclusions and blame the poor shooter. It's likely the store coerced him in to the shooting by offering him unbelievable deals.

10. No word on whether the victim and shooter were arguing over a Blue Light Special
Bummer for all involved. I hope the man recovers fully, and the assailant is brought to justice.

14. Thanks, that's terrible
Next time I see people arguing I'll do like the cops and let them wear themselves out before trying to intervene.

13. I went into a Target store last night to get a light bulb and a woman began screaming....

...that she didn't have any money. Could hear her 5-6 aisles away. I have no idea who she was screaming at or why.

I left. Quickly.

19. Untangle your panties, it's a domestic dispute:
Edited on Tue Dec-02-08 11:36 AM by bushmeister0
FOX 29:

"Police said the shooting occurred after a girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend began arguing in the parking lot.

After continuing the argument into the store, the ex-boyfriend allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened her, police said.

The man then fired several shots, striking a store manager.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old black male, 5' 10" wearing a black hat, and a black hoodie

Police and SWAT are on location at that location. At least one local schools - St. Dominic's - is in a lockdown."

26. Easy there, no one is accusing anyone of anything.
I meant everyone's collective panties, based on all the hyperventilating going on the past few days over the Wal-Muck incident.

The fact that your screen name is underpants is purely coincidental (though, kind of funny).
