3. Why isn't there one option: "No, Chambliss won because of the voting machines"?
There's no way to know that of course, just as there's no way to know anything about the election at all since it all took place in cyberspace on Premier (read: Diebold) touch screens. It comes down to what you believe. If you think Chambliss won, well and good. No evidence to prove it. If you think Martin won, well and good. No evidence to prove it.

No evidence at all.

There's no reason to have the slightest confidence in an election that took place in a state that is no longer a democracy. Same can be said for AL and with almost the same truth of TX and many other states in our once democratic country.

5. Ya know
Some people here still think that elections can't/wouldn't be stolen, that's why there was not that option listed.

I wonder sometimes if the same people think that Bushco couldn't/wouldn't LIE to us about WMD in Iraq? It does ring with some similarity, eh?

6. non-filabuster proof congress was probably a bigger consideration

People were talking about the ability to filabuster undesirable legislation like a AWB reauthorization.

11. The irony is that the Dems might get a filibuster proof vote on certain occasions
Edited on Wed Dec-03-08 09:43 PM by BrklynLiberal
with the help of certain moderate Republicans. And not all the Dems can be counted on to help in some of those votes. Martin was not the breaking point of the filibuster vote. But that may have been used to get the "base" out there to vote.
