So the senators from TN & other states with "foreign" auto makers are trying to sink the American
car manufacturers. Am I understanding this correctly? As I watch this hearing, it seems to me that there is a good amount of this going on and no one is calling them on it.

3. I wonder what tax breaks and other sweeteners
those states doled out to entice Honda, Toyota and BMW to their neck of the woods. In addition to a docile, non-union work force.

4. they were huge
When I lived in MS is when most of those plants were built and the incentives were massive. No taxes for years, they built the roads, schools, etc for the people who would live there. MS spent hundreds of millions to bring their company there and Alabama outspent MS to get theirs.
