Republicans actually think that WE caused this mess...

DCScripts

"Thank you obstructionist Democrats. One good crook deserves another. House Republicans fight the bailout, and the DNC tries to blackmail the laim duck into bailing out the auto industry who has outsourced american jobs overseas. The Democrats should choke on it! And the Republicans should let 'em ROT!!!"

"Why is everything politics with the Democrats.

Please, just once, do something for the country and not your reelection."

"Typical Democrats in the Obama mold. Force someone else to make a tough decision, don't actually make one yourself. Pass the buck - or vote present - it's all the same anyways. "

I have a reply back...FUCK YOU!!! YOU ARE DUMB ASS BASTARDS!!! IT IS FAR BETTER TO LOSE THE LAST FEW REMAINING MANUFACTURING JOBS THAT WE HAVE AND BAIL OUT THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY INSTEAD.

Um, if we lose 3 million jobs, how do you think that will affect our financial markets? The big three have balked at change and the republicans aided them by not forcing mileage changes. Republicans created this mess up and down the line. The big three were slowly moving to build more efficient cars, but it is the complete meltdown or the market...the fact that everyone is scared to purchase a car - either becuase they have no money or they do not want to buy from the big three because they are worried they will not be around to sell parts.

So just remember, okay to bailout the financial industry with no strings attached and no oversight....and NO RESULTS. But fuck the little guy. They don't seem to realize if the auto industry fails...so goes the country and when it was done before with Chrysler...the taxpayer made money.

1. Calm down, calm down...they don't really believe this garbage.
They're just frustrated because THEY LOST and now they're out of power. All they have left to do is carp about how bad the Dems are. When you think about it that way, it's actually kinda funny. They're the losers, and now all they can do is complain about how the winning team is nothing but a bunch of big ol' meanies responsible for everything bad in the world.

5. I try to stay calm...I have used breathing techniques...it just drives me crazy
when I am catching up on the news and on ABC's website the responses are mostly from Republicans and are still out there. I know that they lie, cheat, steal and call wrong right...but sometimes even deep breathing and stretching can't stop the gag reflex, rage and anger.

2. oh, they don't actually believe it at all. They just hope other people believe it
It is possible to intentionally project blame all the while knowing you're lying.

3. It is often a mistake to use the words
"Republican" and "Think" in the same sentence.

8. It's just the hypocricy of it all...there's no accountablity in the auto plan...there are no
guarantees for the funds to be returned...what the fuck does TARP give us??? There has been no oversight over that program. Why can't they see the forest through the trees. The auto companies go bankrupt:

1) Thousands of jobs go away. I have heard as high as 3 million auto and auto support jobs in the US. Can we even stand to have another million americans out of work. It will all but eliminate the remaining manufacturing that we have.

2) Thousands of dealerships will go under - dealerships that sponsor school sports, little league, etc.

3) Many, many more jobs will go (restaurants, shops, etc)

4) Housing prices will plunge becuase 3 million+ homes will be sold, foreclosed, etc.

We are already headed for another depression....why make it worse? No lessons learned from Truman?

10. I am a Realtor and business owner that has had to resort to filing bankruptcy
becuase of the current market. We are in a better position than some...I can exempt our home and we can keep our cars...but it sucks. Two years ago, I was grossing over $100,000 per year in addition to $18,000 in rental income. Both rentals have been vacant for a long time...and I won't break $15,000 in commission this year.

Thanks GWB.

16. I'm somewhat better off, but still live in euros and am paid in dollars
It has gotten a little better since the summer, when the euro was $1.59 (now about $1.28),
but I preferred the (equivalent of) the 90 cents the euro was worth way back when, and I
could afford the same stuff over here that I could afford back in the States.

9. The Longer They Remain Clueless The Better This Country Will Be
It's amazing how well repugnicans know us better than we know ourselves...sure did them a lot of good in November. What's even better, is they still haven't gotten the word they've been fully rejected just for the reasons they're diplaying...their inability to take responsibility and always blame others for the messes they create. They might be in denial but a majority of Americans aren't...and the more one hears these shitstains try to revise the past 8 years or try to judge President Obama (especially before he even takes office) the bigger losers they become. Keep it up...may this game lead to the effective destruction of the GOOP as an effective national party.

The only thing the GOOP sees in the auto situation is to destroy the UAW...nothing more or less. The only way the GOOP will go for any loan will be by rewarding the corporates who donate to their coffers while punishing the workers and trying to revise history to make them to blame ($72 ya know). The banks didn't get any scrutiny cause they're not unionized...for repugnicans its fighting old wars rather than solving current problems.

These morons have absolutely no logic. Were we doing something for the country when we flushed a trillion $$$ down that rat hole on Iraq?
